FURTHER CLARITY ON WEBSITES VS FUNNELS
When deciding to join the big world of online business and marketing, the most common question people ask is…
DO I NEED A WEBSITE OR A FUNNEL ?
Well…
Let me give you some clarity on both so you can decide which one you think will best suite your need.
1. PAGES AND NAVIGATION
The first and probably the most common difference is how many pages there is.
Funnels have this one sequence…
“ALL customers go through in the same order”
But on websites, the visitors have more free hands and they can wander around, which brings us to the second difference.
2. CALL TO ACTION
When funnels have one strict call to action which is to guide visitors to a certain action, mostly to purchase, websites are some how different in purpose.
Websites can have multiple call to action guiding visitors into another website.
But, honestly, funnel is one format of website designed with entirely different approach to a more traditional website. The difference simply is the customer journey and removing overwhelming.
So, with websites, the customer journey isn’t clearly defined like that, and as such, they are often at risk of being overwhelmed. Your visitors don’t really know what’s expected of them.
